The Doorbells will ring your rock and roll urges

I love all kinds of music, which I’m sure is obvious by now. But when it really comes down to it, my heart belongs to rock and roll. That’s the stuff that puts me in motion more than anything. That’s why no matter what I love, I’ll never love it more than Led Zeppelin. Well, musically speaking that is. The Zep still has to contend with Disneyland and my precious kitty cat.

Anyway, that’s why I was a little bit stoked when I found this puppy on Bandcamp last month for free download:

The Doorbells invoke the killer guitar and drum sounds of the Black Keys and the White Stripes, blended with crystalline vocals drawn from the new wave era. Their “Want Your Evil EP” pays a bit of homage to the gothabilly sub-genre, especially on the dance floor diamond “New Home.”
