It’s been a while since I’ve found a band of boys to swoon over, but now in come The Scholars, an Oxford quintet that gives its Brit-rock contemporaries a run for their money. The group’s single, “This Heart’s Built to Break,” sets off its instrumental torrent right from the opening with drums and electric guitar slamming out a storm.
These guys aren’t exactly new to the scene either. In 2010, The Scholars were featured in the independent film Turbulence; they have made it onto festival stages, and shared bills with the awesome Two Door Cinema Club and The Boxer Rebellion.
