My YouTube homepage showed me a new video uploaded by Ben Kweller last week. It’s an interview by actor/musician Jason Schwartzman in the tone of Zach Galifianakis’ “Between Two Ferns,” except more polite. While the interview is not especially informative (and Shaun White portrays Kweller for a portion of the time), it’s worth watching. And the most important thing to take away, I think, is that Kweller’s got a new album, Go Fly a Kite, releasing on Feb. 7. Pre-order it now at Kweller’s site.
From the sounds of these snippets on Soundcloud, Go Fly a Kite is going to be ridiculously awesome. Kweller is one of those artists that never really missteps, so you can totally depend on whatever new music he makes to keep you satisfied if you’re already a fan.
