I love it when a band gives me a reason to gush about how amazing the Northwest music scene is. Earlier this year, Anacortes, Wash., indie rock ensemble The Lonely Forest released its third full-length album, “Arrows.” This is one of those times where I just say, “SO GOOD YOU GUYS.”
But I basically spent the first half of the year listening to nothing else on the album except for the uplifting beats and chords of “We Sing in Time,” a cry out against the dying of the light. Admittedly, I still do need to take time to familiarize myself with the rest of the songs because I still can’t stop just going right back to this one.
